Robert Mondavi Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

$90.00

Umrahmt von einer wunderbar leuchtenden Säure und feinen Tanninen weist der Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 bis zum Ende durchscheinende lebhafte Fruchtnoten auf.

Tasting Notes

The 2021 vintage was excellent and mild. After rains in January
and February, the growing season remained dry. Temperatures were moderate and the weather optimal at budbreak in April and bloom in May. Weather remained even through summer and harvest, resulting in a lower-than-average yield with
small, deeply concentrated grapes. The fruit was harvested by hand between September 13 and October 21. Several days of cold soak enhanced freshness and fruit character. The wine underwent secondary fermentation and 18 months aging
in French oak (32% new).

Vineyard Notes

The cooler climate and clay loam soils of Carneros
provide fruit that adds elegance, while the increasingly warmer sites up the valley add the dark fruit flavors for which Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is renowned. A small amount of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot adds depth and complexity.

Awards & Accolades

95 pts Decanter (September 2024) “What an easy-drinking 2021 Cabernet from this legendary Napa
producer. It’s a beautifully classic wine with intensely aromatic,
flavour-packed fruit redolent of blueberry, black cherry, and black
raspberry, tinged with smoky cedarwood. The full-bodied palate
is marked by persistent tannins and a satisfying finish revealing
notes of earth, river stones, dried herbs, and a firm spine of
acidity—a wine to enjoy throughout a great meal.”
