Robert Mondavi Winery The Reserve To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

The 2022 growing season was mild, dry, and very pleasant through August. Temperatures surged for a few days just after Labor Day. Our grape-growing and winemaking teams worked nonstop to keep the vines healthy and happy until temperatures cooled.

The fruit for this wine comes from our To Kalon Vineyard, which is located on prime benchland in the Oakville appellation. The well-drained soils and optimal sun exposure here enable the development of rich, complex flavors, impeccable phenolic maturity, and varietal character. The wine is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, chosen from five of our favorite lots from this site; the balance is equal parts
Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
